NEW VENUE for KBF 2022

Egerton Place, Knutsford

Tickets are now on sale for KNUTSFORD BEER FESTIVAL 2022! And we have a new venue right in the heart of Knutsford, Egerton Place.

We’re back!!! Knutsford Beer Festival 2022 will be running from April 28 to 30 from a perfect new venue…Egerton Place. Some of you will know the building as Marshall’s House, the old auction house, although it started life as the original Egerton School. The currently unoccupied building is under new ownership with property management company MBOSS who have very, very generously donated use of the building for our event. Cheers guys! Later this year, the historic building will undergo significant refurbishment and modernisation by MBOSS whilst also bringing to life many of the original features of the building to turn it into a premium wedding, events and social space.

A word from Andrew Malloy, our Chairman:

“In 2014, we held our first beer festival just next door in the Old Town Hall, now the Lost and Found. So, when we visited Egerton Place, a few months ago, we instantly knew this venue would be like coming home, and we thank MBOSS for allowing us to use their newly-acquired venue. The central location is ideal to help promote and support our wonderful town, and after what will be 3 years since our last beer festival, I think we all need a bit of a party. Of course, we’ll be bringing you the same but unique selection of craft beers and the return of our carefully selected street food vendors.”

Since our first Knutsford Beer Festival in 2014, we have managed to raise over £27,000 for local charities and we hope to raise lots of money again this year. The nominated charities for the 2022 beer festival are the Toy Appeal and the Knutsford Primary Schools Ball

It just feels right, with Egerton Place’s history as the original Egerton School, that we will be supporting two children-focussed charities: the Toy Appeal, who provide over 9,000 Christmas Sacks for children who otherwise may receive little or nothing for Christmas; and our four state primary schools via the Knutsford Primary Schools Ball Committee – who have been unable to hold their fundraising event for the last 2 years, but hopefully will also return in 2022.

As with previous years, a dedicated beer bar will be supplemented with a gin bar plus a range of wines and other spirits. The beer list is being curated by craft beer enthusiast David Morgan and founding member Paul Buttrick. Together, they hope to bring a complementary range of beer styles to appeal to broad range of tastes. A word from David Morgan,

"I'm really looking forward to joining the beer festival team for 2022 in this brilliant new venue. I've previously been involved with Knutsford Beer Festival behind the scenes so I'm really excited about being more actively involved this time around. I'll be leading on the craft beer side of the event - something we've been keen to grow over the past few years. And at next year's festival, in particular, we're focusing on the wealth of celebrated craft breweries on our doorstep, of which there are many. So expect to see some of the top breweries from Manchester and Liverpool, our local beer heroes like Mobberley Brewhouse and Tatton Brewery and some smaller microbreweries we want to shine the spotlight on. Alongside this will be our usual showcase of fine ales on cask so there really will be something for every beer lover."

Knutsford Beer Festival tickets cost £10 which gives you entry to one session, a 2022 Beer Festival tasting glass and your first drink for free. Knutsford Beer Festival will take place over 3 days from April 28 to 30 with tasting masterclasses taking place during the Saturday afternoon session and live music throughout the festival.

A number of sponsorship opportunities are available; businesses interested in sponsoring the festival can contact sponsor@knutsfordbeerfestival.org.uk. Packages start from £120 to sponsor a single beer.
